The Last Pair
It’s never a sellout
There’s always a seat to be had
It’s just a matter of how much will you pay
And how far will you go to get it
Unless we’re talking about ladies shoes
Then when it’s done
It’s done
No more
Nada
See you next season
Which is why
When you get the last pair
And you know it’s the last pair
They become something special
I’m waiting for the last pair -
The last pair of fashionable
Size 6 clogs
That remain in America
They are on the road
Traveling across the country
Because the last pair
Requires special handling
You can’t measure the pleasure of the last pair-
When dealing with ladies shoes
The pleasure seems to be constant
And continually in flux
But I’m happy that I played a small part
In extending the pleasure
Of delivering the last pair
I hope the wearing meets the excitement of the score
